review 1: This is a fast-paced thrill ride with well plotted mysteries and conclusions. The premise is not unique - our heroine wakes up naked in a stranger's bed, and that stranger turns out to be her new boss. What is unique is the mystery of who, how, when, why, etc.The characters are multi-layered - not everything is revealed quickly. The romance is satisfying - lots of sparks and angst. I found it easy to immerse myself in the story and became emotionally invested in the characters reaching their happily ever after. My only issue was that the ending seemed a bit abrupt and I wasn't satisfied with the way the mystery wrapped up - there were loose ends for me.I rated it 4 stars for the author's ability to plot a good mystery and draw strong characters.*I received my copy from Net... moreGalley.com in exchange for an honest review.
review 2: This book has a little bit of everything - love story, legal thriller and substance abuse issues. It mixes together to form a pretty good story that keeps your interest until the last page. The heroine is dedicated to her cause of finding evidence to prove her father's innocence. The Hero is attracted to the heroine but has to put his kids before his own interests. They work together so there's that to deal with too. You know there's a HEA but the H/h are put through the ringer first. This was a quick read and I would recommend it to others but I will not be adding to my library. less
