review 1: Meh, this webcomic series is just okay. It felt like certain points, themes and jokes just kept repeating themselves. I doubt I'll continue reading this series. While there are some fun dorky moments, I didn't really identify with the characters much. That being said I'm not a hipster, it struck me as something my sister would enjoy more than myself. For those of you out there that liked the quirkyness, but who aren't hipsters and didn't care the jokes, try Dork Tower. It's a great geek comic that trades music references for gaming references. Only bad thing about it is that the art style isn't as nice as QC.
review 2: This and volume two are going in my (very select) permanent collection. I discovered the series online and tried to read them there years ago b... moreut failed. Now I've re-read the first 599 strips (in this and the second volume) and now I'm part owner of an iPod Touch, so we'll see if I can stick with them this time around. I surely do want to!What's interesting is that I shouldn't like this. I have to like the characters in any story I read, and these kids spend way too much time drinking and talking about kink and being slightly insane to appeal to me. However, they're awfully endearing. And they are very kind to one another. And they do try to communicate and be reasonably responsible. I laugh out loud often, seldom groan even at the most scatological jokes, and find myself needing a daily fix as if I were watching a soap opera (fortunately the story line moves a lot faster than the afternoon soaps). less
