review 1: Whoa, this is some hot stuff! "Chester 5000 XYV" is a spicy stew of Victorian romance, steampunk sci-fi, and straight-up people-(and-robots)-fucking-all-over-the-place pornography; I thought it was great.Jess Fink's creativity is boundless, whether she's diagramming robotic appendages or drawing acrobatic sexual positions. Her art is soft and beautifully rendered, which is a must when you're inking some of the sexiest panels ever conceived. Even more remarkable, however, is Fink's ability to infuse the story with genuine emotion and romance; each character is fully realized with their own distinct feelings and motivations. It's a hot book but the sex is an important element because of the overall story."Chester 5000 XYV" really surprised me. It's a tremendously well done c... moreomic that blurs the line between art and pornography. It would be easy to dismiss it as smut but read further and you'll see there's a lot more going on.
