review 1: I liked it. But one thing that puzzled me was how Levi claimed that Becca was the love of his life, and how he'd never be with anyone else...then he leaves her when he gets scared and dates another woman. I couldn't get past that, and inside I don't think she could either. If you love someone that much, you don't date other people. Simple as that. Aside from that, I liked it. Chad was awesome and I can't wait to read his story.
review 2: *Receive a copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*I was ready to throw in the towel less than 1/4 of the way into this book. I stuck it out though and I'm glad that I did even though I think there were a lot of things that could have been better about it.Becca's story is one that should pull directly a... moret your heart. Her past and home life is so awful that I can't even fathom having to live through it. However, the way that she revealed her story to her friends and Levi didn't really get me in the gut emotionally like it should have. I think a lot of the telling of her story felt really rushed and that it didn't get the time and description it deserved. I think later on in the story it was done better, but I still didn't get that emotional attachment I was looking for. I think Becca's relationship with Levi felt really rushed and awkward. Even though I knew there had to be something thrown into the story to make it less than a fairy tale, I think the way Levi broke up with Becca was awful. He was declaring his love after 3 months and it all just seemed really forced. I liked Chad, Julian, Sadie, and Levi's mom as characters. I sort of wish I was reading Sadie and Julian's story instead because he seemed like a lot better boyfriend than Levi. Overall I think the story had way more potential than how it turned out. I just didn't feel all that connected and I have to have that to really enjoy a story like this. less
