review 1: Surprisingly I enjoyed this book even if it was your typical billionaire with his PA. I found myself laughing at the end. The conversation was light and never came out as forced. I fell in love with Shane and Crickit from the beginning. I did find it annoying that even half way through the book Shane was still struggling with his yearning for her. I wanted to say to both of them get over it already. Also the way it started in the bar was not believable at all. I'm still wondering why Crickit needed a six figure salary. The divorce didn't seem to have left her with considerable debt , so why ask for so much she admittedly had no experience. All this aside it was refreshing to see that the cougar ex wasn't out get Shane back, there were ups and downs throughout not j... moreust at the end.I loved it and would definitely suggest it to others.
review 2: Cricket Day finds herself at a cross road in her life. One that not too long ago, she would never would have seen herself being at. She had a job that paid really well and a husband that she thought she would grow old with. Now recently divorced and in need of a job she's upset but agrees to go out for drinks with her best friend to take her mind off things. What she doesn't expect is to meet someone that not only offers her a job at or that she would find herself instantly attracted to him. Shane August is all work and no play. He's a self made millionaire that works long hours and regardless of what time he gets home each night, still works out before he allows himself to relax with a glass of wine. When his cousin talks him into have drinks and then pretty much dares him to pick someone up, he had couldn't help but be drawn to the one person in the bar that wasn't having a good time. He felt the need to try and help her, to fix her problem.I actually read his series out of order because I was given an advanced copy of book 3 but because I enjoyed that book so much, I went back to read this one and will also read book 2 as well. It's a sweet romance with like-able characters. Both Cricket and Shane are easy to love but both have their own baggage. Cricket with her loser ex-husband that doesn't seem to go away and Shane with his childhood demons. I liked that they fought their attraction and didn't instantly fall in the sack with each other but inhaled then I hated that couldn't seem to make up their minds as to what they wanted. less
