review 1: I'm a huge Gaffigan fan. I own every CD he's ever released -- about seven of them. I've seen him live. But the book doesn't have the same magic. The delivery is a huge part of his schtick. In written form, he takes on a different personality that's far less compelling. And much of the book is just a rehashing of jokes he's used on all of his other CDs. I read the first half of this one before I bailed on it. review 2: I'm a big fan of Jim Gaffigan and was super excited to get this book. While it was humorous, I found there was a lot of it that I'd already heard from his stand up bits. I also got a little tired of hearing about how awesome his wife is, the fact that they live in a 2 bedroom apartment in New York, and that they have 5 kids. It was an easy read a... morend kept me entertained but left me a bit disappointed. less
