review 1: I read this story years ago when it was in the Sindustry anthology. It was a great story then but much improved by the lengthier version in this re-release. The end has been revised and more detail added which made me much happier about how the story ended. It's also added a lot of depth to Stephan and Nathan's character. I'm a bit partial to a rent boy story and this one is full of the author's humour whilst retaining a level of seriousness suitable to the subject matter. If you're looking for a fairly quick but satisfying read then I would recommend this.
review 2: Sweet and short. The blurb is a pretty good summary of this "rent boy finds out his favorite client is his new English professor, and vice versa" story. Told from the POV of nineteen-year-old Natha
... moren, who's been turning tricks to get by with the hope that college will be his ticket out, it was a fast, easy read. There's nothing here that caught me much by surprise in terms of plot. But the main characters were appealing, and the resolution was sweet. The British tone of this author's writing is a plus for me. I wasn't wholly convinced of a life-long connection between the guys at the end of the story, but it had some nice low-key hurt-comfort-caretaking vibe to it, and was a satisfying HFN. less

2.5 stars. Short, less polished than this author's usual writing.

Nice story, but it ended too abruptly.
