review 1: When I first discovered this book I couldn't wait to read it. I mean the story itself was so original and different. Imagine living in a world were Adolf Hitler was not defeated? Instead the Nazi party had actually won WWII and conquered the world. A world where Hitler is looked at as a hero and anyone who doesn't fit his image of perfection (white skin, blond hair and blue eyes) have either been exterminated or forced to live in secret and are constantly hunted down and killed. Very hard to imagine but Perfection does a really good job of bringing that reality to life.
review 2: Never know what I will get with ebooks I buy on sale. I was pleasantly surprised to see this one was well written. There were maybe 2 or 3 editing misses. The author is obviously brigh
... moret and able to use words to paint a picture. I loved the premise of this book and thought the entire idea was very interesting. It reminded me somewhat of "the Host" with people living underground and the mind reading aspect, minus the aliens of course. Unfortunately the plot was rather boring. I feel like so much more could have been done with Hitler and the science behind the soldiers. The love story was also glossed over too much. I would have liked it to build up and encounter more resistance. It was all too convenient. As is most often the case, this must be a series. Maybe some of what I was searching for in this book will be found in future installments. less
