review 1: There are really no words to adequately describe a story as heartfelt and poignant as this one was for me. I was crying after just a couple of pages and that happened a couple more times in the space of this short, but amazing story. Don't let the fear of strong emotion make you pass this one up - it's so worth it!! I know this will be one of those stories that sticks with me for a very long time and will be read again and again... just beautiful!!!
review 2: I actually bought Henry and Jim after much consideration. I could tell by the description of the story that it was going to probably be a very sweet, but also a bittersweet story. So I put it off. I kept thinking about it, and I finally took the plunge and bought it last night.Oh my goodness! It was
... more such a beautiful love story! Henry and Jim have been together for over 50 years. Set up by Henry’s sister on a blind date, both Henry and Jim practically fell in love with one another at first sight. This short story takes place during one morning of Henry and Jim’s life. Jim is suffering from Alzheimer’s. Although he still remembers Henry and their life together, his memory is starting to fade.Henry is living with the fear that today may be the day that Jim forgets him. His life is full of routines and constantly reminding Jim of things in the past and present throughout the day. I do not want to give too much away on this story. Basically, by Henry’s point of view, we see a glimpse of their wonderful life together throughout the years. Also, there is the impending doom of what is to come, someday. Although there is a note of sadness to his story, (Yes, I teared up) there is a very sweet and happy ending to it. It ends on a positive note, and I absolutely loved it.I hope everyone gives it a chance. I loved Henry and Jim’s story. I honestly wish it would have been longer. They have many beautiful memories of the past together and hopefully more in the future. less

This is the definition of love. This story is a wonderful little gem wrapped in (electronic) paper.
