review 1: I appreciated this raising toddler knowledge book so much more than others texts on the same topic. I walk always feeling like I got some evidence based feedback on ways to approach child raising. I did not see a ton of fluff an opinions-rather research based practices that just make sense. For instance, using complete sentences to explain, interpret, clarify, and reason with toddlers will do much in terms of effective lesson learning and language acquisition.
review 2: I thought this was a great start to the world of parenting books for me. I found Medina's writing to be simple, straightforward, yet informational. I didn't feel like he was berating me as a parent, but providing examples through research of "best practice". Ultimately Medina reminds us it is
... more up to us to know our children and make the best decisions for them. Compared to other books I've started, it is not so heavy yet makes me feel empowered to make the best choices for my child while providing excellent strategies. less
