review 1: Let me preface this by saying the book was thoroughly researched and well written. However. I found myself why I was putting myself through this all over again: reading of the dirty deeds, and let me point out that Mr. Dean makes sure to keep himself in a good light, while many others are long dead and can no longer add to the dialogue. Still, I think I am done to death on the subject of Watergate. It left a pall over the country that I sometimes think we've yet to shed. I think this book can serve as a valuable index to future researchers, regardless of anyone's political leanings. less
