review 1: Review to come. Edit: 02.01.2015 ReviewA brief review though. This was a cracking good 'all-action' story, gusty and raw with a great relationship between the two men. It was wonderful to read for once an m/m story that was love, not lust, and in which the two men were 'real' people and the story was not the usual vapid 'dick-lit' (is that the right phrase?) twee plot of boy meets boy, loses boy amid much (badly written) angst. Neither were the characters alpha males - all testosterone and big dicksInstead it was a thoughtful, well-crafted and written, love story. With covert ops and spies and guns. :D I loved it. Dammit.. I should have given it five stars. .. creeps away to change the rating. ;)
review 2: Very, very good - definitely buying more of this series... more. No cliffhanger but this book made me want more of these characters.There isn't a lot of graphic sex and romance isn't the main focal point even though it's there. For me, this is a character based book. The story and events are fascinating but watching two harsh men grow and bond is extremely powerful, as is watching the dominance flow between them.No fluff in this book. less
