review 1: Pues es una novela romántica que te cuenta como se relaciona el amor, el chocolate y el contexto histórico a través de varias generaciones familiares. Es una novela con capítulos cortos y atrapantes que hacen que te catapultes a un contexto histórico y aun romance lleno de sabor y música. Lo malo que le encontré a la historia es su ritmo trepidantemente veloz que no ayuda a que te encariñes con los personajes.Te muestra lo cruel de la vida, las guerras y los desamores de una forma original y clara. Una novela que te pueda gustar y te ayuda a entretenerte en una noche de estrés o resaca literaria.
review 2: It's a great easy going book, tells the story of a few generations of an american-hungarian family, mainly the story it's in Switzerland but also in... more the United States through many eras or decades. In the whole book you get social, political and cultural references, so that's a bonus to make you like or love more the book. I will recommend to read it in a maximum of three days so you won't lose the essence that envolves the sory, don't expect a big plot, it has 100 chapters but they are very short ( maximum 3 pages for each chapter) read it on an evenning or afternoon just to pass the time, it's a simple but unique book, so just enjoy it! less
