review 1: I thought this book was a very nicely written book. It was about a deaf boy named Haplin. He has problems making friends and he is trying to investigate the death of a coal miner. They thought he was hit in the head with a coal. He's also has an account that lets him chat with his friend smilleyman, thats his account name. They dont tell him his real name but im guessing its Smiley. They find the dead persons account and hack it. They find out it was his teacher that killed him. She was hacking there accounts and making them enemies, it doesnt work. A suggestion for the book is less bad words.
review 2: Will (nickname: Hamburger)is a deaf kid trying out mainstream school for the first time. He is a funny narrator who gives his classmates nicknames that only h
... moree knows. Will keeps a notebook where he writes down his impressions of the other students he encounters. Observing the feelings and motives of other people is one of his talents, even though he can't hear them. The sudden death of a classmate rattles his school, and Will teams up with his new friend, Devon, to figure out what happened. They uncover a lot of scandalous information using one of Will's other talents: lipreading. The texts and instant messages between Will and Devon are hilarious, and readers will definitely want to keep reading to see who really had the motive to kill. less
