review 1: This is the story about the Tickle Monster who came from Planet Tickle. He has one goal- and that is to bring joy and laughter to the world. The story has great rhymes and such a positive feeling that it is hard not to be happy when you are reading this story. One of my favorite lines in the book is, “I’m all in a tizzy, quite frizzy and dizzy, My fingers are squiggly, your piggies are wiggly." This is just one example of how the author creates silly words and a lighthearted feeling. I would not read this story to the class because I do not know if everyone is as happy-go-lucky as this story. However, I think this would be a great story for a mother or father to read to their child.
review 2: I really enjoyed this silly book! When I was growing up my mom wo
... moreuld always play "tickle monster" and I always had so much fun. This book can probably relate to most children and makes them laugh. The illustrations were brightly colored yet simple- very fitting for the book. I also enjoyed the rhyming in the book. As well as the illustrations and plot I liked how the book used made up names for each body party being tickled such as "armpitty" this really gave the story a light, silly feel. Overall I think this book is a great read for young children. less
