review 1: The collection was better than I expected. A couple of the stories make it an absolute steal, more than worth the price. A few were misses for me; at least one failed simply because of its placement in the collection, which made the plot less suspenseful than it probably would have been as a stand alone. I won't read the whole collection again, but it sold me on at least two new authors and series.
