review 1: I came across this in the library and picked it out mainly because I really loved one of Czerneda's books in high school. This was a good book, but way too long. I mean it's 840 pages long! It could easily have been cut down as I really don't remember much happening. But I did still enjoy it. I really liked the the magical part of the world setting (the Verge, etc.). It was a good book, just too long. Luckily it all wrapped up in the end, so I will not have to read the next one.
