review 1: wow ... I'm not usually so far off from the herd on a book but I literally felt like I was reading a 13 year Ole's fan fiction. The writing wasn't really bad but the voice of all the characters was way too juvenile for the age of the person. I felt the main characters to be superficial and flacid. There are some scenes from the guy's best friend who happens to be gay. I didn't have any issues with this but I can see how many could... but frankly it bothers me that the author chose to give the first romantic scene to sub characters. That just seemed like a poor choice. Did not finish it... couldn't bring myself to finish it. Thankfully it was a free book... but this time I certainly got what I paid for.
review 2: Driving me to you is a romance with a fresh stor
... moreyline. Sam is a dreamer who has returned from India and wants to create a new app. Verlaine is out of work and finds his dream job as a mechanic working on collector cars. Their romance does a slow burn as they intermingle with the other characters in the story. Scott and Paul have an open gay relationship which has its own romantic problems and I enjoyed the way Julie wrote them into the book. Bring on the danger element of Marcus and the girl with a huge chip on her shoulder, Sam's sister and fireworks will happen. More than one romance shines through despite tragedy happening, making this book an enjoyable read. less
