review 1: As much as it pains me I have to say I hated this book. I am almost at a loss for how much I disliked this book. I mean, I love ménage, I love historical fiction, I love this author's previous work--by all accounts I should love this book too, right? Wrong!The reason I could not enjoy this "romance" is because (spoiler alert) two of the men involved in the ménage did not love the heroine. What. The. Hell. Are you kidding me??I couldn't even enjoy the "love" scenes because I was so annoyed that the heroine had to suffer through having sex with her husband who she didn't love, who didn't love her, who also (self-admittedly) was not very good at pleasuring his wife but he felt kind of okay about that. Ughggh!Not romantic at all!!
review 2: When I started this bo... moreok, I didn't think I would like it but as the story unfolded, I got into it. It is a quick read and very well done. The characters are strong and well-written. The author writes the heroine in first person as she is telling her story of self-discovery and her feelings for the three lords who are well represented. The author's descriptions are a bit poetic but not over done. less
