review 1: Generally liked this as much as the first book of the series, and my really rating is 3.5 stars. However, there was a bit less action with this case, and a bit more time spent on Charlie struggling with her feelings for Michael. It feels a bit like some of this could have been a part of the first book instead of having a second. Overall it was fun and interesting. Looking forward to what will happen next between Charlie, Michael and the rest of the team.
review 2: I received this through one of the giveaways on Goodreads. I hadn't read any of by this author yet. I borrowed the first one in the series from the library and finished it in one day. The second one took longer for me to read, but that was just because my schedule wouldn't allow me to sit and do nothi... moreng but read. I really enjoyed this book. It might be psychological aspect (and the serial killer part as well) of it that grabs me, but every bit feels so real when you read it. Complex characters and their relationships are also extremely interesting. I don't want to write too much about the story to give it away, but I liked the suspense, romance, and a little paranormal mixed in. less
