review 1: It took me a while to get into The Hole in the Middle. I was afraid the whole thing was going to be depressing. It got more interesting the further I read. Towards the ending, I couldn't put it down. I did really enjoy the book. I kept wondering how Sophie, first met Jesse, and that was finally answered towards the end of the book. Jesse finally helps Sophie, to overcome her depresion and work overload.
review 2: I very much enjoyed this book. I fell in love with Sophie and her sarcastic view of her job and those around her. If that was a week from my life I would have crawled inside a hole and hidden, amazed how she was able to continue and push through the battles that were here life that week. All the characters were fun, if not quirky (ie Lil, Sophi
... moree's mom) and made me laugh my way through the whole book. less
