review 1: This book was amazing. I am in love with the mcclane family. I wish my family was more like them. They literally do anything for each other. They support and protect each other. This does have quite a lot of violence in it. So I would warn against younger readers getting their hands on this.It's well written, but unusual. Third person present tense if different but I did like it. Makes you feel like you are right there with the family. I found her facebook page and signed on over there for updates on this family. This author is very down to earth and will take time out of her day to talk to you on fbook. There is another sci fi writer who uses this tense of 3rd person preset. I don't quite understand why some of thee reviewers didn't like the main character. unless they ma... moreybe didn't understand her. I get it. She's damaged. She's supposed to be hard and distrustful. I like her a lot. and SHe's funny as hell. I can't wait for the third book to come out. Have it in my tbr list. keep up the great work, Miss Morris! Keep writing this family. and Please do NOT kill any of the characters off. I'm hoping for more books after the third.... hint!
review 2: I wasn't sure about reading this one, but I'm glad I did. Never heard of this author though. I usually like zombie books, but I do enjoy a good apocalyptic fiction book. This isn't like most that I've read. It's really only about this family which she does a good job of character developing. I could see it getting made into a movie. I really enjoyed it and told two of my girlfriends about it already. love the underlying romance too. and I'm a sucker for a dude in uniform, lol! less
