review 1: What a fun read! At times funny, at times, sexy, this story keeps the reader entertained from the page to the last. The last page is a cliff-hanger but the second book is already released so no worries about having to wait to find out what happens. In fact, it isn't a big cliff-hanger. Our heroine, Danielle hasn't had sex in 6 years, in fact she at times refers to her trip as her chance to lose her 2nd virginity. Danielle isn't technically a virgin but she's only had sex once. Literally only once. She just can't get to the point where she is comfortable enough to consummate the act with anyone. Not her high school boyfriend she slept with the one time, nor any guy she dated in college or her boyfriend of nine months. When said boyfriend breaks up with her because of this, ... moreshe, after several margaritas, decides to head to a resort where couples can essentially hook-up. However, once she arrives, she realizes this isn't something she wants and plans to stay in her room most of the time and sneak down to the beach every so often. However, things don't go as planned.She meets Evan Weston, famous movie star and he completely changes things for her. He is her fantasy and he makes many of her sexual fantasies come true.I really liked this story and Evan doesn't come often as a sleazy douche canoe even though he comes to this resort every year. This year he has decided it is going to be his last and that Dani is the one he wants. Although, we don't get any of this story with Evan's POV, we still see some of how he feels through his facial expressions and some outside characters.I highly recommend this book. The loving is hot and the chemistry between the two burns up the sheets!I am currently reading the second one, which is right now, from Evan's POV.
review 2: Oh Evan Weston how I love you! If I could mold you and sell you to millions of woman I would never have to work again. Unfortunately that is not an option so I guess I will just have to re-read Last Resort over and over to get my fill of you.I didn't know what to expect when I started this book. A resort where people go to "hook-up"? This could have gone in any direction. Luckily for us, it went in an awesome direction and we got to fall in love with two characters that will stay with us for awhile.Danielle and Evan are both in a crossroads in their lives. Danielle has just been dumped by her loser boyfriend who after 9 months decided that he was done with her "games". Danielle has had one experience with sex and it was not the best to say the least. After that, she has been afraid of sex and the emotional backlash of the action.Evan is pretty much your typical man-whore actor. He sleeps around to avoid commitment and has come to the island one last time to sow his oat per say.I love that Danielle is spunky. She does not care that Evan is this famous actor (even if he was the one she would fantasize about when she...ya know). She walks away when he asks her to "^&%$" after just meeting him and gives him a run for his money for her time and attention. When Evan finds out about Danielle's situation he is warm and open to being the man that can bring her to the golden arches. He likes to spoil her and show her how special she is.They know that they only have one week together and are weary about what will happen when that time is up. Well it does come and that is the end of the book----but don't worry because the 2nd book is out soon and we get even more of Dani and Evan. less
