review 1: A 3.5/5 really...I love a good time travel novel. This one takes a 25 year old 21st Century Heiress, Kit, back in time to the year 1852 on her road to self-discovery and her family's history on the Oregon Trail. It really took me back to my Middle School days and the world's 1st computer game, "Oregon Trail"...WOW video games have come a LONG way! The book worked in all of the mishaps from my gaming experience...broken axels, snakebites, and buffalo to name a few. It also had an intense love story. There were parts of this love story I didn't really think ideal/romantic, which is probably where my issues lie (hence the 3.5 stars). There is a sequel that I will be starting next.

Characters are well defined and the storyline is strong. At times, a bit too strong for me, but not for true fans of this genre. less
