review 1: Georgia and Alice are best friends they both have daughters the same age who are best friends. Both happily married people. Georgia has struggled wtb getting and staying pregnant since she had her daughter. She's all out of options and she thought she had given up the idea but secretly she hasn't. Then Alice offers to donate her eggs to Georgia so she can have a baby and it works she gets pregnant. The she had some spotting so she's on bed rest and its that time that Alice learns Georgia's daughter and some other girls are bullying her daughter. Alice's husband don't think its a big deal and she don't wanna stress Georgia with it so she goes to her husband and that leads to the start of their affair. 6 weeks before Georgia has the baby she and Alice's husband learn of the ... moreaffair. When Georgia has the baby she walks out and leaves it at the hospital. She goes back to the cabin she has vacationed at every year since she was little and tells nobody. Her sisters figured that's where she went and being the baby to her but to Georgia the baby resembles Alice and she can't get over that and don't known if she can raise him. The book ends with Georgia probably keeping the baby but it don't elaborate on what happens with the seperatipm betweem Alice and her husband
review 2: I had high hopes for this book. It started off great, with the plot of a woman abandoning her child and you're left wondering why. The book jumps all over the place, not necessarily in chronological order, which can be a little confusing. You're wondering why she did it, and then you wonder why other characters did other things. But after awhile, I lost track of the days, and why I should care about certain families. And I didn't like the ending one bit. I was left wondering whatever happened to the other family involved. And how did the children deal with everything. Just a little let down with the entire second half of the book. less
