review 1: Not bad, kinda cute. Not very realistic though. The main character, Kelly, seems very confident and smart at the beginning but during her "dream" she acts girly (it's hard to explain). Before the dream she's tough, a corporate climber, who isn't intimidated by anyone. During the "dream" she still shows some of those characteristics but she acts more like the stereotypical blonde. I guess that's the best way to describe it.
review 2: Two stories are playing out with two different POV, Kelly in Nebraska and Captain Duran in Irak. Each chapter changes between the two POV and the story starts out seemingly normal in the real world and then Boom fantasy strikes one night when Kelly goes to bed and she wakes up in Irak in Captain Duran's arms, in his tiny cot in the
... moredesert outpost.I really like how no one wanted to believe the fantastic goings-on with Kelly and her amazing white nightgown. Seriously funny in a dreamy far-out kind of story. Miss Kelly Goins reminds me of some of my career minded lady friends, I really felt like she was a living breathing wonderful person that I would love to be friends with.Captain Duran was a great upstanding guy that never asked anything that he wouldn't give himself.Contemporary military romance, doesn't everyone love a man in a uniform?!203 pages. Free for kindle in May 2012.3 stars of an unusual read that was not your average romance story. less
