review 1: The cover of this book attracted me for a quick listen while I was walking off my pounds. I really didn't expect it to catch my attention to the end! I am not a geeky person so parts of this book was over my head. A younger person would have understood all the technical terms more than I did. It's so amazing how someone can come up with an app as quickly as it was in this book by Audrey. Even though the boyfriend app is not an app that could be made in real life it was fun to listen to.
review 2: I was over in the states for a holiday, and I decided to buy a new book. I thought the boyfriend app looked like it would be a good book, however I was totally wrong. I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I hoped. I love books and I normally can’t put them down, howe... morever I wanted to put this one down. Each time I read the book I didn’t want to keep reading it. It was a weird story and I just don’t think it was normal. As much as the author had good intentions of trying to be different compared to other authors and come up with a new story line behind a romantic love triangle…this just didn’t work out for me.The way that she makes the two fall in love was weird, that in order to get a new boyfriend you had to zap someone and they would automatically fall in love with you. I didn’t enjoy this book, just because it was totally and utterly unrealistic in my opinion. The start and the end of the book was quite good. It was all the in-between that wasn’t so great.The author had some parts of the book right and other parts totally wrong, I think that in some parts it could have been worded totally different and other outcomes could have happened that would have been more realistic than what happened in the book. I most likely would not recommend this book to anyone if they were looking for a good story because personally I didn’t think it was good enough to be recommended. less
