review 1: Thanks the first book that I've read by this author and it will probably be the last.Angelina (h) is a battered wife, she thought she was safe with her husband in jail but she didn't know he had been released until he showed up at her door with a gun in his hand and revenge on his mind. The next thing she knows is that her husband has beaten her unconscious at some point, driven her to some out of the way place and left her in th parking lot of a biker bar. As she regains consciousness and realizes that her son has been taken and she left for dead, all she can think to do is go into the bar and ask for help.Blaze (H) knew she wasn't like the other women who ride with them and when he sees Spike making a move to claim her as his,he knows he has to do something to save her... more. All he can think to do is take her from Spike and claim her himself. He tells her thAt she will ride with him and that she must do everything he tells her to. **************SPOILERS*******************SPOILERS*******************SPOILERS****************SPOILERS********************The way this book was written, well it felt amateurish. It was written in the third person but the author would be using the word "she" or Angelina for the h in a paragraph and then switch to "the _______ woman" in the next sentence , usually with descriptive words such as " weary" or "despondent" filling in the blank. Every time she did this it would pull me out of the story. Then we have our hero, I think the author was confused on how to portray him. First he's this gruff biker, who really only gave the h instructions on what to do. He didn't seem to care that she was badly beaten with a severely bruised face and possible broken ribs, so much so that he backhands her in the face for some infraction that I can't even remember. Then the next thing you know he's the camp protector for some of the women who ride with them and all he can think of is how to protect the h from the other men. It just made no sense. The nick names were stupid,imo.....Blaze and Spike......come on! I know some things about actual MC' s and yes some do have nicknames that they go by but the author could have come up with something better. The sex scene in this was just shy of a "behind closed doors" , no details given just how they felt "as they became one" . I'm pretty sure this book was a freebee and I sure hope so cause if I had spent even .99 on this book I would be disappointed.
review 2: Escaping an abusive marriage by her husband leaving her for dead, Rusty underestimated the power of Angelina's love and strength for her son Justin. Determined to make her way back to her boy, Angelina does what she has to do with the help of a few unlikely allies within a motorcycle club that fate has landed her with. Survival is the theme of this story, especially from the gutsy women who do what they have to get by in their world.Ending was not what I expected and would love to read on to see how Angelina, Justin, Marg and Tiffany lives pan out. less

Had a hard time putting this one down. Ending seemed rushed and strange but over all a great read.
