review 1: I know I was feeling nostalgic when I bought a few romance novels on sale on my kindle a couple of weeks ago. This was one of them and it involved one of my favorite tropes of the marriage of convenience between the shy assistant and the player boss. This book didn't quite live up to my nostalgia (but what does?) and was actually more of a 2.25 or 2.5 stars, but I rounded up since just gave 2 stars to a book that I detested.
review 2: Aw, Jace. Sexy as hell, but closed off to love. He is an amazing friend and has a heart of gold that he thinks he hides from everyone. When his grandfather's will puts some stipulations on him receiving the only thing he's ever wanted, he's faced with having to get married. For a self proclaimed bachelor for life and serial ... moredater, this makes him very angry. His law aide and only employee, Betsy, has been crushing him since day 1. She is extremely shy and likes to fade into the background. Despite their social differences, they work well together and have the same friends. Can her crush turn into anything else? Can he actually fall in love? This story is sweet! It was a great way to finish this group of friends off. I wish there was more of this series. I truly enjoyed the friendships. less
