Elliott Lisbon Mystery
review 1: Interesting little cozy that I enjoyed overall. The characters were pretty interesting. There was some well written humor that made me chuckle. The mystery was interesting and I only figured it out about the same time Elliott did. There were plenty of red herrings that added to the fun but there was also at least one loose end that I don't recall being tied up. The things I didn't like included the way Ransom treated Elliott (it was just plain mean a couple of times) and the way Elliott swore. I'm no prude and certainly don't mind the well placed expletive but there was a bit too much for my liking and I thought it detracted from the character. All that said, I will probably read the next book in the series. Recommended for light reading.
review 2: This
... morewas a good story, I enjoyed the characters and the way things developed. It kept me guessing until the last few chapters. But I give it a 3 star because I just couldn't handle the 4 letter words I encountered. I guess I am too much of a goody-goody, but I do not like being assaulted in my own home like that. Two reviews on Amazon called it a cozy. I would argue that the language keeps it from being a "cozy." Although I liked many things about it, I will not read anymore by this author because of the language. less

This was a pretty good book. It was good in spots but it didn't hold my attention as well as others.
