review 1: Rounded up from 2.5 - It was meh. If you are a big fan of Mitch Albom (as am I), you'll find that this is a less expressive version of his style of writing. With Albom, you not only get a storyline but you also find reevaluation of your own life within the pages. Milne attempts to give that same experience but falls short. The main character was a turnoff & left me with a bad taste even after the story predictably ended. Probably won't read this author again - I'd much rather reread an Albom classic instead.
review 2: I just finished this book in a day. It has been a very long time since I devoured a book like that. The Final Note had me gripped from the beginning and the story flowed beautifully. It made me smile, made me laugh and it was a wonderful read.
... more I usually rate books 5 that I would read again. This book was marvelous but I never want to read it again because it hits very close to home and although it is something I'm glad I read, I don't want to put myself through it again. less
