review 1: WOW! This book was AWESOME...Great read. I highly recommended. The book has murder, LOVE, honor and betrayal...rolled into one book. The two main characters were great, and very likeable. The world (ours) that this story takes place in, was very believable. The supporting characters were AWESOME as well. While reading this book, I found myself emotionally involved in the plight of the main characters. I so wanted Turen and Mia to have their HEA...luckily love, perseverance, and the support, and loyalty of friends...saved the day. Xavier, one of the bad guys, I felt sorry for. The other bad guy/girl...(ha! I am not going to give it away.) Came out of left field...I totally did not expect it...it was a nice surprise. The author did a magnificent job bringing this book ... moreto life.
review 2: ******* yes that's right i'm giving this book extra stars because it was just that damned good. So you have a lot going on in this book which would normally be hard to follow but it's not the author clearly marks new passages going from one scene to the next or day to day. The love story is just top notch I mean Mia has gone through this load of shit with an ex and she is thrust into this dingy prison cell with a guy who has been shit on and they learn to trust and help one another through all their trials. Then you have this twisting story of betrayal and deceit going on behind and it is so interesting how they figure everything out and come full circle back to our lovers. This book was golden I wanted to quit my job just so I could sit and read it but thankfully I didn't because I got to savor this wonderful tale. less
