After The End
review 1: It was forgettable. The Commander sees her, and decides he wants her. He has her retrieved for dinner with him, and then he wants her for more than one night. This book could have been good but there were so many misunderstandings and missed opportunities with the hero and heroine. Then there was the mystery of what is going on with the rebels and the people who "have things" and the people who just scrape by. Then the hero and heroine have a huge fight towards the end of the book and it could have been resolved so easily. By talking to each other.Don't bother reading this.
review 2: The dystopian world is superficially described and I couldn't figure it out. We know there's no electricity, few cars, some trains and horses are a luxury. The North America is divid
... moreed in federations and our hero is the commander of the Northwest Federation. The names of the cities are confusing and not original. Nothing more is further explained. Sometimes I felt we were in a medieval-like reality, others simply in an uderveloped country-like world. The relationship between Tiernan and Madison could be that of medieval lord/servant maid, of a rich man/poor innocent girl. Both the characters and their relationship and the dystopian world are weakly developed. The mistery with the rebels was annoying more than intriguing and what happened with Aidan almost at the end of the book seems to come out of nowhere and not the supposed conclusive climax of the story. less

I wanted more live between the H/h. H wasn't protective enough for me. Writing was decent.
