review 1: I was quite displeased with this book, the main character was self-centered and never did anything to better herself or situation. I understand the mindset of a depressed person to a pretty great degree, however, I never felt bad for her. It's a much lower reading level then I expected and I read it in less than twenty-four hours (I can't leave a book unfinished and I wanted to move onto my next book so badly that I forced myself through it.).
review 2: I chose this book because I read another book by this author. This book is about an overweight girl named Dell, who has a mother who is always on pills, a father who remarried another women, and a little sister who is the only person that can make her happy. Dell ends up getting raped by the guy she used like, a
... morend he tells everyone in school that she was the one who raped him. After all of the name-calling, family issues, and having no one that understands her, she commits suicide by taking a bottle of pills. My favorite quote is "My sister smells like lo..." This is my favorite quote because these were Dell's last thoughts before she had passed away. Dell was supposed to finished off with, "My sister smells like love," but her thoughts trailed off as she died. I loved the authors writing style, and Dell's story touched my heart. I would recommend this book to anyone who feels alone or depressed. less
