Have you heard about If & Then Thursdays yet? It’s this really cool concept put on by Alex over @ Young At Heart Books. If you haven’t saw it yet, it’s super fun and even easy enough to follow for this Book Princess. Here’s a little more about it:
IF YOU ENJOYED… Geekerella by Ashley PolstonIf&Then Thursdays is a book meme created by Alex@ Young at Heart Books. How do you participate? It’s easy! All you have to do is choose two books that are somewhat related in theme, writing style, genre, etc. Tell us how they are similar and why we would like them! All recommendations should be made in this format:
“If you like Book A, then you might enjoy Book B”
Okay, this book was adorable. It was cute, fun, and gave me all the feels. Not only did it have an epic fairytale retelling aspect, it pulled an amazing emotional punch. I totally didn’t expect to be crying over a book with a Comic Con event and a fake Star Trek show. Who knew? Seriously, so much love for this book. It’s totally perfect if you’re deep in the fandom life, looking for an adorable ship – in both the romance and space kind – and looking for a great coming of age novel. Check my review out here!
THEN YOU WILL ENJOY… The Summer I Became a Nerd by Leah Rae MillerWill I ever stop promoting this book? The answer is noooooooooooo. I love this book. If you thought that you felt the feels in Geekerella, I fell the feels so much more for the ship – only the romance one in here sadly – in this book. Maddie is a total comic book fangirl, but seeing as her status as important cheerleader in high school, she totally hides it. Throughout the book, she begins to realize that her inner comic book fangirl perhaps isn’t something that she should be willing to hide…just like the important moral in Geekerella when Darian realizes something similar. This book is fantastic if you’re looking for the same cute, cheesy feel, an important moral of being true to yourself, and one adorable romance just like Geekerella! Check it out here!
What do you think? Did you enjoy either of these books? Will finally someone take pity on me and say that they are adding The Summer I Became a Nerd to their TBR?
