review 1: This is a sizzling short and quite a sweet romance between two damaged people who can't keep their hands...and other bodily appendages of each other.Alex is coming off a nasty divorce and waking up after a party in the upstairs apartment above the pub he and his two brothers own with nothing but a bra and the scent of flowers is the first time in a year his libido was operational. Pity he can't remember who belongs to the bra.Violet has only just started at her new job at the restaurant of the brothers pub. After a history of bad decisions where men are concerned, sleeping with her boss just about takes the cake. Lucky he doesn't remember...until...oh yes...that floral scent.The back and forth between the two is great, the smex is sizzling and the ending is nicely done. Oh... more and his brothers are hilarious. Language is strongish.
review 2: You think you had a bad morning? Look at it this way. Violet is always making decisions, usually impulsive or bad ones. One night and a few drinks and she ends up in bed with her new boss. SHE remembers it all, her boss Alex, not so much. But Violet left clues: her perfume on his pillow and her bra wrapped around his wrist. Intrigued yet? Just that image alone should do it. But Alex, divorced, heartbroken and in a bit of a dry spell has only the perfume, the bra and an empty condom wrapper to fill in his blanks. Being the logical thinker, he uses flow charts and spreadsheets to narrow his possibilities until one good whiff of Violet’s perfume gives him the best clue yet. This leads to the back and forth, will they won’t they plot twist that really isn’t. Violet is so not Alex’s type: curvy, mouthy and impulsive. But this buttoned up businessman just can’t seem to keep his hands off her. Clever, fun and quirky there is just enough sexy heat to add a tingle and Violet is deliciously impulsive and mouthy, the perfect foil.
