review 1: Genre: realistic fictionCopyright: 2008I really enjoyed this book because it reminded me of all the little things that we take for granted in life. Mrs. Muddle knew how to have fun and celebrate all of the things in life that we don't always think about. She forms meaningful relationships with the kids in her neighborhood to the point where they all want to do something so nice to give back to her all that she has given them. It was very endearing.
review 2: This is a picture book. I don't normally review picture books, but this is one of the Kids Read the Same Book selections in our valley for this year. I've read nearly all the other more grown-up selections: Wednesday Wars, Life As We Knew It, and To Kill a Mockingbird already in the last year or two, so
... moreI'm reading the only two left and this was one.What a fun book! The illustrations are colorful and creative. The story about Mrs. Muddle who celebrates holidays that no one else has heard of is wonderful. I highly recommend finding a child or two and reading this one with them. less
