review 1: I had no idea such a jewel was hiding on my Kindle. This book was absolutely delightful and so hot to read. If you are a fan of the Karen Marie Moning books, this one is right up your alley...except no Druids in sight. Connor is the laird of the castle, MacKenzie is the time traveler, and it is a truly beautiful love story with plenty of humor, sex, romance, and heartbreak. I only am sad it took me so long to read it. Fantastic book that I am sure I will be reading again.
review 2: I really engoyed this!!!It was so nice to get back to Highlander time travel after getting back into paranormal romances, And this was a great one to start back with.Mackenzie is from the future and fits into Connor's time easily, although I would have like to have read a little more... more about her time in the past as I felt she was confined in her room most of the time. Connor doesnt trust Mackenzie a whole lot throughout the story but I like how he falls for her anyway giving it the meant to be feel of a great story.I loved the Scottish Brougue this absolutely makes my day when authors use it in these novel genres, makes the story that much more authentic and the leading man that much more sexier than the average man.I really hope that Liam gets a book (Connor's brother) maybe with Mackenzies friend.This story had me turning the pages I did not want to put it down, its nicely paced and your attentions never waver from the story you are so intrigued to find out what will happen next.You can really tell that Laura is a lover of the highland genre as a reader as well as an author as it shows in her work that she knows what a Highland reader wants to read, Well Done!!!!Really looking forward to more stories from this Laura Hunsaker. less
