review 1: At first, i thought this was going to be one of the few books i didn't bother to finish. But once Shawn went back in time, it was going to be amusing watching him be a total ASS. Amy is totally nuts for being in love with Shawn. You really want to shake her and say "WAKE UP" - he is horrible!!! Oddly enough, as the personalities unfold in the different time periods, i started to enjoy the book - enough to go ahead and read Minstrel Boy (#2 of the trilogy).
review 2: I was totally prepared to hate Blue Bells of Scotland and roll my eyes on every overwritten page. After the first few pages, I was sure it was going to be trite and predictable. I'm so happy I was wrong. In one sense, it was predictable. It was obvious from the first pages that it was going to be
... more a time travel story in which the two main male characters switched times. Beyond that, however, it was well written, interesting, and filled with characters I came to care about. I won't ruin the story for you, but suffice it to say that the ending is anything but predictable. It is the first in a trilogy - I need to find the next two. less
