review 1: This is a beautiful story of friendship, growing pains, of a love first love and how far she will go to right a wrong. It starts out a little slow but the author pulls you into a wonderfully told story that is well written with her realistic characters in a real situations.You feel like you are right there as Daniel struggles through chronic illness. You feel the pain of his sister as she tries to do the best by and for him. Caitlin is the only one that sees him as he could be, makes him feel like a person not sick or someone who needs taken care of.

... moreddle it sort of downgraded to a simple teenager-in-love story. Bess' character wasn't formed conclusively. I was seriously tempted to put it down.At the end it picked up again, describing the obvious outcome. Boris handled the teenager-loses-the-love-of-her-life situation pretty well. Kudos to Boris. less
