review 1: I'm not sure what I make of this book honestly. From the reviews and ratings, I was expecting a 'blow me out of the water' read. But that's not what I got at all. I felt that when it wasn't plodding along slowly, it was going too fast paced. There were a few moments when I was wondering what would happen next, and I think if it weren't for them I may not have even finished the book at all. I enjoyed the story, I did. But felt it was quite unrealistic at times. This frustrates me. I don't think this book reached the potential it could have, and for this I'm giving it 3 stars.
review 2: Wow, this book was an amazing read. I read have read the Lost series by Layla Hagen and I expected Withering Hope to have a similar vibe to it but it didn't. Layla wrote a great
... more original story. Amie is at a great point in her life. She's getting married Chris. She seems to have everything planned out. She is on your way to the wedding location in Brazil. Tristan is her pilot. He a little closed off and a bit of a mystery. Chris has a private plane so it's just Tristan and Amie on board the plane. The [lane chases in the middle of no where. They have no communication to the outside world and flew of course before landing. They have to survive out in the wilderness. They have to battle the elements, jaguars, and sickness. They have to work together and form a bound. They form feeling for each other. Amie is an amazing character. She has feels for Tristan but still feel that she has to stay devoted to Chris. Tristan and Amie relationship slowly progresses for friendship to something more. Tristan was a little bit of a mystery at first. I though maybe he was hiding that he was a criminal or something. We get to find out what he's hiding through a little bit of his own POV. The story is mainly told through Amie's POV but we do get a little of Tristan. I loved the ending. Withering Hope tells the whole story of Tristan and Amie and doesn't leave hanging as to what happens to them. This one is a must one click.A copy was received for a review. less
