review 1: I read Death Bed in one weekend. It didn't knock my socks off (goodness but Goldfinch has ruined me) but I did enjoy it. I liked the way Russell shifted POVs...I liked the main character, Geraldine Steel, and how Russell has Steel compare herself and her life to those of the victims. I don't know that the killer's motivations are completely expressed, even though we get more information as the book ends. Would I read another...hmmm...not so sure...
review 2: Another great novel in this police procedural series. Although I miss the frequent presence of DS Ian Peterson, it was very exciting to follow DI Geraldine Steele to her new job in London on the Metropolitan Police Force. I enjoyed Geraldine's interactions with the motley group her new work colleagues and i... morensight into police/community relations. Also, the killer was sufficiently creepy to make me shudder. Can't wait for the next book. less
