review 1: I read Death Bed in one weekend. It didn't knock my socks off (goodness but Goldfinch has ruined me) but I did enjoy it. I liked the way Russell shifted POVs...I liked the main character, Geraldine Steel, and how Russell has Steel compare herself and her life to those of the victims. I don't know that the killer's motivations are completely expressed, even though we get more information as the book ends. Would I read another...hmmm...not so sure...
review 2: Another great novel in this police procedural series. Although I miss the frequent presence of DS Ian Peterson, it was very exciting to follow DI Geraldine Steele to her new job in London on the Metropolitan Police Force. Reasonably good but Geraldine's private life seems to be taking over.
