review 1: Even though this has an abrupt ending meant to get you to buy the second book it was at least a complete book. Decent story line and character development. Julia has to adjust to the more conservative culture of Russia's upper crust and while she does make a few error in judgement, generally she does well. Dimitry is familiar with Americans but his opinions are clouded by his assumptions and culture. Once the two of them are willing to let go and see each other on an equal basis things between them really take off. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.Adult read

... moreleasure to read. The supporting characters mainly Demetry's younger brother really helped move the romance in the right direction. Both were resistant at first but they could not deny their love for each other. Leslie North really knows how to tell a story and I look forward to what is next for the Fedesov brothers. less
