Plot: A young couple set out on a vacation where they run into some youths. What starts off as a nice getaway soon turns into a brutal attempt of survival when they get on the wrong side of the youngsters.

I loved this film, I thought it was fantastic and unpredictable. You’re on the edge of your seat from the moment the violence starts. Fassbender and Reilly work really well together and they make the characters realistic and loveable. You find yourself routeing for these characters straight away. It is the best British horror film I’ve seen.
It is the best British horror film I’ve seen. The cast really makes the film because there are so many stars in it. Jack O’Connell and Thomas Turgoose are my favourite British actors. I’ve watched them for many years now and I think they’re great. O’Connell does really well for himself now starring in major Hollywood productions, which I’m super happy about. He’s a really talented actor and he deserves it. However, I prefer seeing him in British films.
It’s gory, horrific and sickening but in the best way because it’s smart. I’m about to spoil the ending now so stop reading now if you haven’t seen the film. The reason I say it’s unpredictable is because there’s no survivor. Both Fassbender and Reilley’s characters die. I liked the fact they both died because it was more shocking that way. You also can’t guess what’s coming next. You have no idea what’s going to happen. It’s such an exciting watch.
Reilley’s character is the last to die. She finally gets to safety but then it reveals she’s in the house of the kids that attacked her and killed her boyfriend. She locks herself in the bathroom and finds a blade. At this point, she knows there’s no way out so she puts the blade in her pocket in order to protect herself against the parents. However, there were loads of adults in that house. There was no way she could have defended herself with one blade against all them. She should have slit her own throat because that would have been quicker and less painful than what the parents had planned for her.
It’s a film I’d love to watch again. It doesn’t have jump scares but you’re scared for the characters. It is an excellent thriller/horror film. I love a good British film.
