review 1: A very interesting explanation of the world economic collapse of 1929 to 1933. Ahamed approaches the explanation via biographies of the US, British, French and German central bankers. It works. This was a great read and very informative. I was continually surprised by how fascinating the story was. Highly recommended as an intro to The Depression and to the early history of our Federal Reserve. Plus, the central bankers were very strong characters and fun to read about.
