review 1: Big Nate Flips Out, by Lincoln Peirce, is a fascinating story about a middle school student named Nate Wright trying to make it through middle school in the chronicle club. As soon as he gets in, he wants to leave the club because it is run by his enemy Gina. Gina is a very plain, perfect girl who always gets an A+ in school and all of the teachers loves her. Nate manages to get his best friend Francis to be co editor so it's not all about Gina. Francis then is convinced to go to Mrs. Godfrey which is the meanest teacher in the whole school to get a camera for Nate to use for pictures for the school chronicle. Mrs. Godfrey thinks that the camera is for Francis, not Nate. Nate is very messy and later loses the camera, but not only that, his friendship with Francis. Francis ... morehas got detention once in his whole life and when he tells Mrs. Godfrey about losing the camera, she says that he gets detention for a week and has to buy another camera. Nate, and Nate's friends Teddy, and Dee Dee go to Teddy's Uncle Pedro's house to hypnotize Nate to be neater so he can find the camera. It works really well, but still no camera is found. The neatness works a little to well and Nate wants it to be over so he can go back to his messy self. Teddy, Dee Dee, and Nate all go on a big search for the missing camera, and they can't find it. This is a very awesome and extraordinary book that many like and enjoy.
review 2: In my opinion "Big Nate Flips Out" was a humorous book about Nate being messy.I thought the pictures of when Nate was being hypnotized by uncle pedro was exactly how i imagined it. The storyline was perfect and when Nate was able to get the camera,i knew something was bound to happen. I have read this book over and over just to give me a laugh and to de-code the messages.My favorite parts in the book are when Nate is hypnotized and At the Trivia Slam when they beat Gina's Geniuses.I would like to read more Big Nate's by Lincoln Peirce. I recommend this book. less
