Review:
The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and I felt like I was inside of the soup shop, watching the action and listening in on people’s conversations through much of the book. The writing styles flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The mysteries are carried on well throughout the entire book. There are a lot of suspects to consider and there are enough clues, twists and turns that this reader did not figure out the killer until it was revealed at the end of the book.
The characters are well rounded, well developed and three dimensional. I really enjoy reading about the relationship between Lucky and her grandfather, Jack. You can tell they care about each other greatly and this is the type of relationship everyone should have with their grandfather. This book centered around Sophie and it was nice to learn a little more of her story. I enjoyed getting to spend more time with all of the characters in this book.
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well written cozy. I have read the first four books in the series and I have enjoyed them all. I am sure you will too.
