review 1: this is not the worse P&P I've ever read and the positive influence that Darcy and Lizzy's relationship have on their family in terms of own marriages and happiness in endearing but what this lacks in plot and purpose, what is the point of all that is written, it didn't seem like there was a point in was continuing on and on I was wondering when it would end, it felt that a TV series rather than a novel. all in all it wasn't too bad, and the closeness and distance between families was portrayed well enough I suppose. I will say this, I doubt I will be rereading this book any time soon, because it is not as memorable as some of my other P&P 'what if' favourites.
review 2: i found the story just interesting enough to keep me reading but not enough to remember wha
... moret i could write for a review now that a few weeks have gone by. i do recall it takes a really long time in this adaptation for any sizzle action, if that's a requirement of yours. the story puts new focus on some side characters such as mr. bennet and caroline bingley - but i can't say i agree with where linda wells takes those characters, especially mr. bennet. if i want a version with passion and kidnapping and secrets, i would recommend linda berdoll's sequels over this book. but an obsessesive fan like myself would enjoy it enough to add to their inventory of all things austen. less
