review 1: Enjoyable and sweet chick-lit, with a personal interest for me as it centers on a writer! This is a novel that I come back to repeatedly when I need something of a pick-me-up.The story starts with a wedding, but not that of our heroine Angela. It's her best friend's wedding, where she catches her long-term boyfriend cheating in the parking lot! In a wild move, she decides to flee to NYC, where she makes some amazing new friends and connections. For chick lit, this is refreshingly balanced between the inevitable love triangle and a journey of self discovery. Definitely one for the warm and fuzzies, although the romance could be taken down a notch.
review 2: Free book on iTunes and to be fair it's typical chick-lit but it's an easy likeable read. It's not going ... moreto win any awards, the main character is a bit flakey but truth be told there's a bit of her in all of us I'm sure. Read it with a light heart and open mind and don't expect too much and you'll enjoy it; if nothing else I love her descriptions on New York they brought back many amazing memories for me. less
