review 1: First of all, I wanted to say that I really, REALLY liked this book. I devoured this for a couple of days. Heck, I could’ve finished this book in one sitting but that would mean not doing anything and tire my eyes out and I would definitely get a look from my parents. So, two days it is. But…What. The. Heck. That was my first three words after I finished the book. Is that really it? There should be more. There should be. There MUST be.This book kept me wondering for more than half an hour before I fell asleep. Damn! I just couldn’t sleep because of what happened at the end. I was like NOOOOO!!! I want more. Please… More? When I woke up that morning, I was still thinking about it. On my way to work, I was still thinking about it. Until now, I am thinking about it. I ... morewas practically having an argument with myself. The other half of me is saying that the ending was okay and yeah, begging for more, but the other half is begging for more because the other side of me wasn't accepting what happened in the end.Let me give you a rehash of that said argument.Me1: I don’t believe this. I want more.Me2: You need to move on. It ended. Maybe, it was really supposed to just end that way.Me1: No, There should be another book. I’ll double check it. You'll see.Me2: (She knew and checked it already. tsk. tsk.)Checking…Me1: Oh my gosh. NONONONONOOOOO…Me2: See what I’m talking about? It was supposed to be that way. It was good, right? You liked it. You loved it. Every. Single. Chapter. It has to end. Move on.Me1: I can’t. I just can’t.Me2: I think what happened to Tess was better that way. Charlie was nice but also a douche and Nick, Oh Nick. There’s no denying that you and I are Team Nick. There’s no argument about that. But no matter how much I am on his side I honestly can say that Nick Freaking Miller is a coward.Me1: He isn’t! He just got some issues. He’ll sort it out. He’s HOT and he’ll sort it out. Did I say he's hot? (giggles)Me2: Now you’re giggling. Don’t be sad, okay?Me1: I am sad. :( I want more of Tess and Nick.Me2: Yeah, I think I want more of Tess and Nick too.Crazy, I know. But really, my emotions were mixed. This argument could go on forever. Maybe I should just move on and read the I Heart series. I am actually excited to read that other series of Ms. Kelk. I know it's going to be amazing. But… man! I can’t help but ask for more.I really enjoyed this series. Not only the romance, but also, Tess’s adventures, her funny moments, and the friendship between her and Amy, and let’s add Kekipi and Paige that were also quite interesting characters (I was surprised about what Paige did at the end. Lol). Let's not forget Charlie that confused the heck out of me, Tess's parents and sisters that were honestly relatable to the reality, Veronica and that mouth of hers that should get a filter, actually, all the characters for me are interesting, even the one who gave Tess’s iphone for free in book 1. That was really odd and funny at the same time, and let’s add bad, because it was honestly not good.Moving on, I am surprised at myself that this review would be this long. Maybe I just couldn’t stop thinking about this book, and the boys in this book. I was confused at first. But I confirmed to myself that even though Nick was a coward, I am Team Nick. I said that already but let me just say that no man is perfect. Although, I really didn’t like what he did to Tess. I think the love wasn’t enough, I mean wasn’t WHOLE enough for someone to take a risk and face his deepest fears, because if you truly love someone you’ll do ANYTHING no matter what, because if you’re always afraid like that, you won’t be able to move on. If a soldier is afraid, will he be able to fight a war? If a doctor can’t take blood, will he be able to heal a patient? Some people may want something. They can become what they want, train to be a soldier, study hard to be a doctor but the hard part there was the application. If you’re there already, you can’t just back out because you’re not ready or you’re afraid of what may happen. You won’t be able to know what MAY happen because you never did it anyway. Things happen for a reason and there’s always a good reason beyond that. Like what happened to Tess. It all just fell in to place. But the question is… will you fight and move on? Walk the walk and fight the fight? This thing applies not only through someone’s love life but also, someone’s dream, and someone’s life. You may have what you want and be what you want but you won’t be able to have it or be it if you can’t be brave enough to fight for it in times of trouble, in times like what your holding on to is just a thin thread and you’re too afraid that if that thread breaks, you will too. You will fall and you will be shattered. But it’s not the end of the world yet. There’s always tomorrow. You can try and try until you succeed, that’s what they say. And that is true. Will you chose to die alone and do nothing? That is matter-of-fact a lack of courage and lack of FAITH.I know I kind of focused on Nick’s issues, but he bothered me. Because I am frustrated with Nick and I am Team Nick. So, that’s it. Four stars for an amazing book that I really enjoyed.:)
review 2: I did really enjoy this book, as I have with all of Lindsey Kelk's books however, by my own mistake I didn't realise that there was a book before this one meaning that I didn't get to truly appreciate the story until about half way through. I also didn't like Amy but again that could be because I knew nothing of her back story, but by the end she had me laughing my head off. Brilliant read and I can't wait to read the first book now (haha) less
